Bonnie Renee Doyle
Bonnie Renee Doyle, 65, of Grove City passed away at Grove City Medical Center at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday following a short illness. She was born March 31, 1952, in Ellwood City, to Kenneth Dale Wimer and Beverly Rose Alborn Wimer.
She married William J. Doyle Feb. 12, 1993. Bonnie graduated from Grove City High School in 1970 and Slippery Rock University in 1974. She shortly thereafter earned her master's degree in reading from the University of Pittsburgh. Bonnie's teaching career spanned various grade levels over 30 years. She taught at North Allegheny, Pa.; Baltimore, Md.; Houston, Texas; White Plains, N.Y.; and she retired from the Slippery Rock schools in 2008.
Bonnie enjoyed boating, water skiing, traveling, listening to music, attending concerts and most importantly, spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Bill at home; two daughters, Michelle Jordan of Pittsburgh and Nicole Fleming of Grove City; her son, Zachary Doyle of St. Simons Island, Ga.; her mother, Beverly R. Wimer of Grove City; her brother, Derran K. Wimer of Hudson, Ohio, and their spouses; six grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father and her infant daughter Lia Marie Vislay.
DOYLE — Family of Bonnie Renee Doyle, who died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Center Presbyterian Church, 211 Center St., Slippery Rock, with the Rev. Jeff Hurst, pastor of Leesburg ECO Presbyterian Church, presiding. Interment will be at Eastbrook Cemetery, Lawrence County, Pa.Memorial contributions may be given to Slippery Rock Community Library, P.O. Box 25, Slippery Rock, Pa., 16057.
