William C. Faust Jr.

William C. Faust Jr., 78, of Stuart, Fla., passed away at home surrounded by his family Tuesday after battling cancer.

William C. Faust was born March 3, 1939, in Butler. He graduated from Butler High School and attended Franklin & Marshall and Grove City colleges.

Mr. Faust served as a volunteer firefighter for more than 30 years, being a member of the Mercer Road Fire Department in Butler, Annandale Hose Co. in Clinton Township, N.J., and Newton Fire Department in Newton, N.J. After moving to Stuart, Fla., in 2008, he was a member of Miles Grant Country Club and Peace Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder and assistant treasurer.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Ruby Faust of Stuart, Fla.; two sons, William C. Faust III of Clinton, N.J., and Bruce Faust of Winter Springs, Fla.; two daughters-in-law, Joelle Faust of Clinton, N.J., and Nancy Faust of Winter Springs, Fla.; and four granddaughters, Meagan, Abigail, Stephanie and Kimberly Faust. He had a sister Helen Douthett, who preceded him in death.

FAUST — A celebration of life service will be at noon Sunday at Peace Presbyterian Church, 4881 SE Cove Road, Stuart, Fla., with the Rev. Dr. James L. Bailey II officiating. A fellowship reception will immediately following the service. His ashes will be spread among the butterfly garden at Peace Presbyterian Church.In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in his honor to Peace Presbyterian Church, 4881 SE Cove Road, Stuart, Florida 34997.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted in the care of Martin Funeral Home & Crematory, Stuart Chapel, 961 S.
