Elaine E. Barnhart of Slippery Rock passed away Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Elaine was born in Boyers to the late Andy Tiche and the late Susan Szalai Tiche. She had been employed at Slippery Rock University as a custodial manager.

Elaine is survived by one daughter, Angie Sue Grossman of Slippery Rock; one son, Ford E. Barnhart and his wife, Diana, of Arizona; two grandsons, Cody A. Brandon and Ford R. Barnhart; and two great-grandchildren, Zach and Talon.

Also surviving are one sister-in-law, Nancy Tiche of Slippery Rock; and several nieces and nephews.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Ford D. Barnhart, who died April 4, 1994; two brothers; and one sister.

BARNHART — Friends of Elaine E. Barnhart, who died Monday, July 24, 2017, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at, William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Tim Britton officiating.
