Karl M. Penrod
Karl M. Penrod, 58, of Mars passed away Sunday morning in the comfort of his home.
Born Feb. 13, 1959, in Butler, he was the son of the late Harry and Ada Hinderliter Penrod.
Karl had worked in the maintenance department at the Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople.
He was a member of St. Kilian Church and the Adams Area Fire District for nine years when it was the Mars VFD. He had also served as president of Quality EMS for 20 years.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon Boyle Penrod, whom he married Aug. 2, 1980; his daughter, Kimberly Schmook of Mars; two sisters, Martha (Regis) Karch of Herman and Brenda Koebler of Renfrew; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry “Butch” Penrod and Lynn Penrod.
PENROD — Friends of Karl M. Penrod, who died Sunday, July 23, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.
Services will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
