SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock University softball team will hold tryouts for the 2018 season Oct. 6 at the MAC Intramural Fields.

The tryouts are open to all current SRU students.

Registration begins at 3:30 p.m. and will be followed by a two-hour tryout from 4 to 6 p.m. Registration fee is $30.

ELLWOOD CITY — The 22nd annual Seneca Valley Boys Golf Boosters Club golf outing is Sept. 23 at Connoquenessing Country Club.

Entry fee is $100 per person and includes greens fees, cart, lunch and dinner. The format is a four-person scramble with the top four teams winning.

Lunch is at 11:30 a.m., shotgun start at 1 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m. Checks must be received by Sept. 15 and should be mailed to Sally Hangliter, 246 Cumberland Drive, Seven Fields, Pa., 16046.
