Larry R. Ritson
Larry R. Ritson, 59, of Erie died on Thursday from injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident.
He was born in Butler on June 8, 1958, to the late William and Kate McGinley Ritson.
Larry attended Butler High School and was a member of the U.S. Navy and the National Guard.
As a disabled veteran after his service, he worked for many shipyards and was later employed through the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the South Erie Turners and the American Legion.
Larry was the founder and president of the former motorcycle club, Lucky 13. He loved motorcycles, hunting, traveling and repairing vehicles. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife and the love of his life, Beverly. Their first date was on July 13, 1991. He is also survived by his children, Stacy Peffer (Sean), Jack Ritson (Samantha), Mark Ritson (Angela), Corey Kerner and Jake Kerner (Kelly); his 13 grandchildren who adored him; his brothers, Charles “Skip” Ritson and Bill Ritson (Linda); his sister-in-law, Ginger Beveridge (Bill); his brother-in-law, Chip Fried; several nieces and nephews; and his pets, Willow, Roxy, Herman and Missy Moe.
He will be missed dearly.
RITSON — Friends of Larry R. Ritson, who died Thursday, July 13, 2017, may call at 1 p.m. Sunday until the time of the funeral service at 5 p.m. at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, 5000 Wattsburg Road, Erie.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of family.
