Mary Lee Blair Brooks
Mary Lee Blair Brooks, 84, of Newhaven Court, Butler, passed away Wednesday following a long illness.
She was born Jan. 20, 1933, in Butler, to the late Lee W. Hoovler and the late Mary Mehaffey Hoovler.
Mary Lee graduated from Butler High School and Muskingum College. She was a member of Westminster PCA in Butler and was active in the Tuesday Service Group. Mary Lee enjoyed volunteering with her husband Charlie at Seneca Hills Bible Conference in Franklin, Pa., flower gardening, sewing, camping and the company of her pets throughout the years.
She is survived by her three daughters Linda Johnson and her husband, Keith, of Kittanning, Laura Jordan and her husband, Mark, of Butler and Ann Young and her husband, Ron, of West Sunbury; one son Samuel Blair and his wife, Tannis, of Gibsonia; eight grandchildren; and 10 great- grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles J. Blair, whom she married Aug. 7, 1954, and who died April 25, 2000; her second husband, John L. Brooks, whom she married July 9, 2005, and who died Dec. 21, 2007; and her brother Lee W. Hoovler Jr.
BROOKS — Friends and family of Mary Lee Blair Brooks, who died Wednesday, July 12, 2017, are invited to a memorial service 11 a.m. July 22 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in America, 420 N. Main St. Butler, PA, with Pastor Daniel Ledford, officiating; assisted by Mary Lee's son, Sam Blair.Private burial will take place at the Butler County Memorial Park.Arrangements are being handled by Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
