Bronwyn I. “Bonnie” Hawley
Bronwyn I. “Bonnie” Hawley, 89, of Cabot, formerly of Sarver, passed away Thursday at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia in Cabot.
Born Oct. 14, 1927, in Leechburg, she was the daughter of Richard B. Thompson and Marjorie Ile Knappenberger Thompson.
Bonnie was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sarver, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. She was a woman of strong faith in Jesus Christ, loving wife, mother and grandmother, and loved to spend time with her family.
Bonnie had been the owner of Bonnie's Beauty Shop in Sarver. She was co-founder of the card ministry at Concordia. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, bowling and crafts, and had also been involved in the Freeport Archery Club.
Surviving are her husband, Dwight Ardell Hawley, whom she married Nov. 13, 1948; her children, Marjorie H. Harmon of Saxonburg, Robert D. (Ruth) Hawley of Saxonburg and Lynn H. Chiado of Freeport; her sister, Gail Hoak of Cabot; six grandchildren, Jeremy Knox, Kristie Knights, Angela Turner, Nathan Hawley, Nicole Chiado and Carley Chiado; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
HAWLEY — Friends of Bronwyn I. “Bonnie” Hawley, who died Thursday, July 13, 2017, will be received Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Shawn Smith officiating.
