Patricia J. Liberto

Patricia J. Liberto, 84, a lifelong Chicora resident, went to be with the Lord early Monday morning surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia was born June 11, 1933, in Chicora. She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Mildred Williams Callihan.

Pat was a 1951 graduate of Chicora High School. In her earlier years, she had been employed at Mellon Bank in Chicora. She was a homemaker and loving wife and mother. She is survived by her husband, William L. “Bill” Liberto, whom she married Oct. 26, 1963, at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Ford City.

Patricia was a lifelong member of the Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church in Chicora and belonged to the Christian Mothers. Pat enjoyed attending Silver Sneakers, the Prayer Group at Mater Dolorosa, sewing, the company of family and friends, and most especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events.

Pat is survived by five children, Marta Barger and her husband, Tim, of Chicora, Maria McLaughlin and her husband, Brian, of Cranberry Township, Missy Easley and her husband, Bob, of Chicora, William “Bill” Liberto and his wife, Christine, of Hilliard, Ohio, and Mary Twentier and her husband, Travis, of Chicora; 10 grandchildren of whom Pat was extremely proud, Katrina, Tyler, Kyle, and Reese Barger, Brendan and Cullen McLaughlin, Anthony and Tanner Easley, Will Liberto, and Lexis Twentier; two sisters, Mary Wiles of Butler and Kathleen Edwards and her husband, Robert, of Liberty Township, Ohio; four brothers, Fred Callihan and his wife, Martha, and Tom Callihan and his wife, Shirley, all of Chicora, Jim Callihan and his wife, Linda, of Centreville, Va., and Dan Callihan and his wife, Lana, of Ellicott City, Md.; one brother-in-law Louis Heitlinger of Stow, Ohio; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and friends.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by one infant granddaughter, Bailey Jo Easley; one brother, William Callihan; one sister, Shirley Heitlinger; one sister-in-law, Patricia Callihan; and one brother-in-law, Robert “Tweeter” Wiles.

LIBERTO — Friends of Patricia J. Liberto, who died Monday, July 10, 2017, will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora.Family and friends will pray the rosary at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church, 409 N. Main St., Chicora, with the Rev. Rick Thompson, church pastor, officiating.
