Mars man charged with assaulting girlfriend gets ARD
A Mars man, charged with assault, was admitted to the county Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program in Butler County Court on Wednesday.
Jeffrey D. Madaffari, 58, appeared before county Judge Timothy McCune, who placed him in the program for 24 months. He was also ordered to undergo anger management treatment, 100 hours of community service, have no contact with the victim of the assault and pay $1,998 in restitution.
Madaffari was charged by Adams Township Police after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, causing her to fall down some stairs at the couple's West Village Green Boulevard home early on Jan. 7.
The woman reported Madaffari hit her with a door, pushed her to the ground, and in an attempt to keep from falling down the stairs, she grabbed Madaffari's shirt, ripping it.
She reported he then kicked her, causing her to fall down the stairs.
A full report will appear in the Butler Eagle.
