Butler woman pleads guilty to child endangerment, other charges
A Butler woman pleaded guilty to several charges, including child endangerment, retail theft and weapons possession, in three different cases against her in Butler County Court on Wednesday.
Amanda J. McCune, 23, entered guilty pleas to felony retail theft, misdemeanor endangering the welfare of children and misdemeanor possession of a weapon in court before county Judge Timothy McCune.
The plea agreement calls for a sentence of three to six months in Butler County Prison, 18 months probation, 15 hours of community service, restitution, fines and costs. She is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 14.
She entered the plea to the child endangerment charge after Butler City police said she overdosed on heroin and was revived with naloxone, while caring for her 1-year-old child on March 20, 2016, on St. Paul Street.
McCune was also charged with possessing a weapon at the Butler County Government Center on West Diamond Street in Butler on Jan. 5.
