A man, charged alongside three others, pleaded guilty in Butler County Court on Monday to charges related to a robbery incident in Slippery Rock Township.

Quatrell Jones, 25, of Johnstown, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor conspiracy to theft, simple assault and possession of a controlled substance in two cases before county Judge William Shaffer.

The plea agreement calls for a sentence of 12 months probation, restitution, fines and costs, when he is set to be sentenced on Sept. 7.

Jones was charged along with Calvert W. Anderson Jr., 25, of Johnstown, Robert J. Brown, 23, of Pittsburgh, and Julian Durden, 23, of Butler, after an incident on Nov. 19, 2015, where the four were charged with robbing another man in his apartment at The Grove on Harmony Road in Slippery Rock Township.

Anderson and Brown previously pleaded guilty to the same charges and are set to be sentenced in August. Durden is scheduled for a conference on Aug. 16.

All four, who were Slippery Rock University students at the time, were charged by Pennsylvania State Police with felony counts of burglary, robbery, conspiracy and theft by unlawful taking, and misdemeanor counts of simple assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.

Police said several men allegedly broke into the apartment of Kessel Weber. Weber and a friend were held at gunpoint while the men allegedly stole cash, a cell phone, marijuana and other items from the apartment.

Police said Weber knew the men who robbed him and identified Durden and Anderson. Durden and Anderson were on the SRU football team and were immediately dismissed as a result of the charges, while all four were banned from campus following their arrests.
