Meladee Ann Kreider
Meladee Ann Kreider, 68, of Cranberry Township passed away Tuesday at the Cranberry Place, surrounded by her family.
Born May 16, 1949, in Roaring Spring, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Irving T. Moyer and Shirley Pollard Moyer.
Meladee was a graduate of Central High School in Roaring Spring and went on to further her education at Penn State University, where she graduated with a bachelor of science degree in nursing in 1970.
She was a born-again Christian and a member of Christ Church at Grove Farm. Meladee was very active in her church, where she participated in AWANA and the Community Bible Studies Group. She had a great desire to be a mentor to children and to minister and mentor other women.
Traveling was a passion in her life and she loved being at the beach, especially when the skies where blue and the water was crystal clear. She loved to read. Her greatest blessing, overall, was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 46 years, Thomas Kreider, whom she married Sept. 5, 1970; her sons, David Kreider and his wife, Vickie, of Elk River, Minn., and Steven Kreider and his wife, Vanessa, of Greenville, N.C.; her brother, Clifford Moyer of Martinsburg, Pa.; her grandchildren, Matthew Kreider, Nicolas Crowley, Zackery Kreider, William Kreider, Maudie-Kate Kreider and Evan Kreider; two nieces and two nephews; her sisters-in-law, Charlotte Kreider of Cranberry Township and Carol Kreider and her husband, John Serak, and their daughter, Jaycee, of Economy Borough; and her brother-in-law, Barry Kreider and his wife, Fran, of Cranberry Township.
MELADEE — Meladee Ann Kreider, who died Tuesday, July 4, 2017, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Christ Church at Grove Farm, 249 Duff Road, Sewickley.In lieu of flowers her family suggests donations be made in her honor to AWANA or to the Community Bible Studies Group or to the Urban Impact Foundation, c/o Christ Church at Grove Farm, 249 Duff Road, Sewickley, PA 15143.She will be laid to rest privately at the Pinewood Memorial Gardens.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with her family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
