Matthew David McCue

Matthew David McCue, 41, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Worthington, died Tuesday in Houston.

He was born May 10, 1976, at Allegheny Valley Hospital, in Natrona Heights, to David M. and Linda D. Roofner McCue.

Matthew was the director of music at St. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Houston. He was a member at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenelton as well as St. Anne’s in Houston. He was devoted to making music and loved to go scuba diving. He was a dive master and made numerous diving trips around the world. He loved to travel, making several trips to the Vatican.

Left to cherish his memory include his parents, David and Linda McCue of Worthington; his sister, Mrs. Bruno (Carla) Scuilli of Pittsburgh; his niece, Ms. Cayla Scuilli of Pittsburgh; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl (Vivian) Roofner of Worthington; his aunt, Ms. Susan Lockhart of Houston, Texas; his aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Perri (Teri) Roofner of Worthington, Mr. and Mrs. Donald (Rose) McCue of Dunbar, Mr. Bernard McCue of State College, Mr. William McCue of Pittsburgh, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin (Eileen) McCue of Fenelton, Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Donna) McCue of Fenelton, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth (Nancy) McCue of Worthington, Donna McCue, Sue McCue and Delores McCue; and numerous cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John (Cathern) McCue; uncles Wayne, Gary and Raymond McCue; infant nephew, Bruno Carl Scuilli; and his infant niece, Matalena Lynn Scuilli.

MCCUE — Friends of Matthew David McCue, who died Tuesday, June 27, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. today at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 668 Clearfield Road, Fenelton, with Father Matt McClain and Father Al Sinasac co-celebrating.

Interment will be at the Roofner family plot at the Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery.
