Mary L. Neely

Mary L. Neely, 85, of Evans City, formerly of Cranberry Township, passed away Tuesday morning at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born Nov. 19, 1931, in Beaver County, Pa., she was the daughter of Charles and Blanche Cress and stepdaughter of the late Leora Cress.

A homemaker, Mary was a lifelong member of the Franklin Park Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Earl “Pete” Neely, whom she married May 9, 1953; one daughter, Joyce (Joe) Afflerbach of Freedom; one son, Ken (Nancy) Neely of Boise, Idaho; her grandchildren, Ben (Catie) Neely, Ian (Rie) Neely, the late William Neely, Rachel Neely, Lacey (Alex) Fallecker and Dustin Klein; one great-granddaughter, Autumn Neely; one brother Edward (Dorothy) Cress of Zelienople; three sisters-in-law, Mildred, Evelyn and Annette Cress; and nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by one sister, Grace McPherson; and three brothers, William, Robert and George Cress.

NEELY — Friends of Mary L. Neely, who died Tuesday, June 27, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Franklin Park Baptist Church, 2470 Nicholson Road, Sewickley, with the Rev. George Palombo, pastor, officiating.Please meet at the church. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
