June I. Griffiths, 92, of Butler passed away Tuesday at Newhaven Court at Clearview.
She was born June 3, 1925, in Petrolia, the daughter of the late Ralph and Ethel (Larimore) Day.
June had worked at Daugherty Refinery (Sonneborne), Magnetics and Butler Memorial Hospital.
She attended Whitestown Road Baptist Church. She was a member of the Gideon's International Auxiliary.
She and her husband had enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Ft. Myers, Fla.
On June 15, June and her husband, Ken, celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary.
Surviving are her husband, Kenneth E. Griffiths of Butler; her daughter, Sandra K. Griffiths Swank of Butler; four sisters, Maxine (Jim) Kamerer of New Castle, Joyce (Keith) Collier of Butler, Harriett (Eugene) Yough of Chicora and Cindy Coleman of Petrolia; four brothers, Dick (Dorothy) Day of East Butler, Bob Day of Butler, Regis “Biz” Day of Petrolia and Larry Day of Beaver; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; a brother, Lew Day; a sister, Joan Wirt; a brother-in-law, Tom Coleman; and two sisters-in-law, Bernadine Day and Sally Day.
GRIFFITHS — Friends of June I. Griffiths, who died Tuesday, June 20, 2017, will be received 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
