Mary H. O'Donnell

Mary H. O'Donnell, 96, of Chicora passed away at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday in the Chicora Medical Center, Chicora.

She was born June 2, 1921, in Woodbine to the late Alfred F. Saeler and Josephine R. Neff Saeler.

She married Clyde J. O'Donnell on Oct. 18, 1952. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1984.

Mary was a lifelong and the oldest member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in the Village of North Oakland, Chicora, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers. Having been employed at Castle Rubber in her early years, she later worked at the Chicora Medical Center.

She is survived by a son, Gary (Sandy) O'Donnell of Chicora; a daughter, Norma (Robert) Miller of Karns City; five grandchildren, Amy (Steven) Rodgers, Jason O'Donnell, Matthew O'Donnell, Kathryn O'Donnell and Nathan Miller; four great-grandchildren, Graham Rodgers, Brooks Rodgers, Connor Rodgers and Kora Mae O'Donnell; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Saeler Charpentier.

Besides her husband of more than 31 years, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter-in-law, Linda Mae O'Donnell; a grandson, Jeremy Miller; and three brothers, Howard Saeler, Edward Saeler and Raymond Saeler.

O'DONNELL — Friends of Mary H. O'Donnell, who died Tuesday, June 13, 2017, will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main Street, Downtown Chicora.A funeral mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in North Oakland, Chicora, with the Rev. John Butler officiating.
