Charles W. Rasp Sr.

Charles W. Rasp Sr., 90, of Evans City passed away Monday afternoon in UPMC Passavant, McCandless Township.

Born Sept. 1, 1926, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Charles and Sarah Isaly Rasp.

He was of the Lutheran faith. He was a dairy farmer his entire life. He loved reading, traveling and, most of all, his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth S. Anthony Minich Rasp, on July 5, 1998; one stepdaughter, Cindy Kay Shaffer; one sister; and two brothers.

He is survived by one son, Charles (Carin) Rasp of Evans City; one daughter, Rae Lynn (Robert) McIndoe of Athem, Ariz.; two stepdaughters, Wendy Sue (Robert) Walker of Zelienople and Betty Jo (Stephen) Huffman of Athem, Ariz.; two sisters, Dorothy Bray of Harmony and Sarah Graham of Slippery Rock; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

RASP — Private memorial services for Charles W. Rasp Sr. who died Monday, June 12, 2017, will be held 2 p.m. Friday from the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W.
