Betty Jean Burns Wolfe

Betty Jean Burns Wolfe, 88, of Butler, passed away on Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born Jan. 31, 1929, in Apollo to the late George Burns and the late Irene Carrie Hartman Burns.

Mrs. Wolfe worked as an Avon representative as well as at T.W. Phillips Gas and was a homemaker.

Betty and her husband Paul were lifetime members of North Main Street Church of God, where they were members of the church choir. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Betty loved cooking, painting and coloring pictures for her family. She enjoyed trips to Cooks Forest to go camping.

Betty is survived by her husband Paul K. Wolfe; two daughters, Kathy Diehl and her husband Cliff of Butler, and Susan Liparulo and her husband Lew of Butler; two granddaughters, Jennifer Mueller and her husband Jeff and Loren Mottern and her husband Jesse; three grandsons, Jeffrey Diehl, Timothy Liparulo and his wife Brooke, and Todd Liparulo; nine great-grandchildren, Emily, Matthew and Katie, Taylor, Preston and Malcolm, Dylan, and Cole and Shane; one brother Richard Burns and his wife Joan of Harrisburg; one sister Mary Eckman and her husband Ron of Apollo; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Harriet Neatrour.

WOLFE — Friends of Betty Jean Burns Wolfe who died Saturday, June 3, 2017, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Brandon Lenhart of North Main Street Church of God officiating.

Private entombment will take place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Concordia Lutheran Ministries, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.
