Butler business owners plan 'Foodie Fridays'

Butler residents will likely be able to enjoy food, drinks and music one Friday each month on Main Street from July through October.

Community business owners are working to hold “Foodie Fridays” in the Peoples Gas parking lot on the corner of Main and North streets, as well as on the streets surrounding Diamond Park.

Reclamation Brewing Co., Butler Brew Works, Chop Shop and Cummings Coffee & Candy will participate.

“Ideally we’re looking to continue to try and drive traffic downtown,” said Nick Fazzoni, co-owner of Butler Brew Works. “There’s a lot of new businesses that have happened, and I think recently you’ve seen a handful of people try to build the level of community down here.”

Foodie Fridays have been tentatively scheduled for July 28, Aug. 25, Sept. 29 and Oct. 13. The events will feature outdoor vendors selling food and drinks, including alcohol. There also will be live music.
