Patricia Louise Banks Griffith

Patricia Louise Banks Griffith

Patricia Louise Banks Griffith, 81, of Mars completed her mansion and Heaven welcomed her home Friday.

Born March 7, 1936, to Jacob and Margaret Burkett Banks of Bedford.

While living in Wildwood, Pa., Pat worked at Woolworths, where she met and married the late Robert F. Griffith.

She was the loving mother of Roberta and her fiancé, Jeffrey Hazel, of Crafton; Frances and her husband, Jeff Rabold, of Butler; Patty and her husband, Dave Peiffer, of Brackenridge; and Bobby Griffith of Butler.

Pat was proceeded in death by her siblings, Joseph, Johnie, Paul and Ruth (Preston).

She was the doting grandmother to Rena and Steven Antosz of Baden, Jered and Karli Rabold of Allison Park, Kyle and Kinsey Rabold of Jackson, Mich., and 3½-year-old twin grandsons, Jacob and Jedidiah Peiffer of Brackenridge; and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and, yes, even great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Widowed at a young age with four minor children, Pat worked diligently during the years to provide for her children at Value Fair, Murphy's Mart and Ames Department Store.

Pat enjoyed a variety of crafts and you would finding her working at crafts daily, especially after moving to Penn Mar Plaza in Mars 10 years ago. She made favors for each Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter, making it a family tradition. She also passed along her love of crafting to each of her children, teaching them that you can do anything you put your mind to.

Pat spent her last days at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia in Cabot.
