Kathleen L. Minehart
Kathleen L. Minehart, 70, of Saxonburg, formerly of Butler, died May 10, 2017, following a courageous battle with cancer, at the Good Samaritan Hospice of Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.
Born April 8, 1947, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Harry C. Minehart and Kathleen M. Weiland Minehart.
Kathleen was among the first women to operate heavy equipment as she was a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local 66. After retiring she worked at II-VI, Penn United and Harmar Village.
She enjoyed reading, baking, going to craft shows, thrift shopping and going to Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh.
Surviving are her daughter, Lynn A. (Mark) Lankitus of Fenelton; one son, Douglas (Denise) Acquaviva of Canonsburg; two grandsons, Dominic and Vincent; one brother, Harry C. Minehart Jr. of Butler; four sisters, Lois Harrison of Butler, Patty Holfman of Butler, Fran Fennell of Saxonburg and Beth (David) Maloney of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Acquaviva; and her sister, Marlene Hockenberry.
