Joseph E. Coddington
Joseph E. Coddington, 92, of Saxonburg, passed away Monday at home.
He was born Sept. 10, 1924, in Morgantown, W.Va. His parents were Joseph and Nell Coddington.
He was a U.S. Marine who served in the Asiatic Theater during World War II. After the war, he graduated from West Virginia University. He went on to start his own business and worked in the coal, oil and gas industry for more than 60 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; his son, Joseph; and his brother, Thomas. He is survived by his brother, Kent Coddington of Fairmont, W.Va.; his sister, Doris Harner of Elkins, W.Va.; his daughter, Carole (Clark) Harvey of Surf City, N.C.; grandson, Ty (Beyhan) Harvey; great-granddaughter, Leyla of Raleigh, N.C.; his granddaughter, Bobbi (Larry) Byers of Butler; and his great-grandson, Randon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
