Richard “Jim” James Bertocki

Richard “Jim” James Bertocki, 66, of Butler passed away Saturday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born May 6, 1951, in Butler, he was a son of the late Richard and Betty Prost Bertocki.

He was a 1970 graduate of Butler High School. He worked for Pullman Standard Car Co. until its closing. He then retired in 2011 from the Butler School District where he worked as a custodian.

He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

Surviving are three sisters, Diana (Paul) Hinchberger, Carol (Doug) Monnie and Patricia Bertocchi, all of Butler; one aunt, Dolores Malcolm of Ohio; four nephews, Paul, Joshua and Michael Hinchberger and Douglas Monnie; and one niece, Krista (Cody) Geagan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

BERTOCKI — Friends of Richard James “Jim” Bertocki, who died Saturday, May 13, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler. The Rev. Harry Bielewicz, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Butler.St. Paul's Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church to recite the rosary.For more information or to leave an online condolence, please visit www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
