Braxton Hilderbrand singled home Jim Doles and Jon Hansotte in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift East Butler to a 7-6 win over visiting Karns City in Butler County legion baseball play Saturday night.

Hilderbrand finished with four hits, including a double. His brother, Brandon Hilderbrand, had four base hits.

Trevor Gilliland singled three times in support of winning pitcher Hunter Scott, who struck out nine and walked four in a complete game for East Butler (5-4).

Karns City’s Colton Hutchison had two hits. Jimmy Thompson shouldered the pitching loss.

Saxonburg 16, Center Township 3 — Ben McMillen tallied four hits and six RBI to pace Saxonburg in this five-inning romp at Kelly Automotive Park.

James Flemm added three hits, including a triple. Teammates Jeff Smolen and Dom Bucko also tripled.

Logan Hickey and Mike McCarty combined for 10 strikeouts for Saxonburg (6-0).

Paul Richards tripled for Center Township.
