The lowest bid and next-to-lowest bid to repair the exterior of the Butler County Government Center did not exceed the estimated cost.

Perry Construction Group of Erie submitted the lowest of three bids counting all project alternates, which were opened this morning, at nearly $3.2 million.

The project was estimated to run between $2.9 million and $4.5 million.

Uhl Construction of Allison Park submitted the second lowest total bid at $3.8 million.

Arcon Contracting of Lower Burrell submitted the highest total bid at nearly $5 million.

A contract is expected to be awarded later this month.
