Scott V. Cammisa

Scott V. Cammisa, 53, of Butler died Tuesday morning at the V.N.A. Inpatient Hospice.

Born July 6, 1963, in Butler, he was a son of Vincent “Jim” R. Cammisa and the late Betty Lou Smith Cammisa.

Scott graduated from Butler High School and was the owner of Cammisa’s Auto Body in Butler for more than 30 years. He was an avid hunter and sports enthusiast and his passion was for cars.

Surviving are his wife, Erin C. Conley Cammisa, who he married Dec. 15, 2007; his daughter, Ava R. Cammisa; his father, Vincent R. “Jim” Cammisa of Butler; two brothers, Tom (Brenda) Cammisa and Gary (Alma) Cammisa, all of Butler; his grandmother, Virginia Cammisa of Butler; four nephews, Chad, Cory (Ashley), Curtis and Evan Cammisa; one niece, Emele Cammisa; one great-nephew, Camden Cammisa; one great-niece, Olivia Cammisa; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Lou Cammisa, who died in February of 2016; and his grandparents, Hector Cammisa and John and Regina Smith.

CAMMISA — Friends of Scott V. Cammisa, who died Tuesday, May 2, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler. Entombment will be in the mausoleum of St. Michael’s Cemetery, Butler.

His daughter, Ava, requests that In lieu of flowers donations be made in his memory to Butler Catholic School, 515 E. Locust St., Butler, PA 16001.
