Mike McCarty’s two-run homer tied the game in the seventh inning and Dylan Swarmer’s RBI single won it in the 10th as Saxonburg edged West Sunbury, 5-4, in Butler County legion baseball recently.

Swarmer’s hit plated Ben McMillen with the eventual winning run.

McCarty pitched the final three innings for the win. Jack Bartek worked the first seven frames.

McCarty had a homer and single, Alex Stobert, McMillen and Swarmer collecting two singles each for Saxonburg (3-0). Harry Fitzingo and Larry Neal both doubled and singled for West Sunbury, with Jerry Adamson and Brian Williams adding two singles each.

Saxonburg 10, Meridian 0 — Logan Hickey pitched a one-hitter in this five-inning win, striking out eight.

Dom Bucko had three hits, including a two-run homer. Swarmer, Stobert and Sean McGill had two hits each.

East Butler 10, West Su nbury 6 — Isaiah Lucas was the winning pitcher and one of four East Butler players with multiple hits in a win over West Sunbury Tuesday.

Lucas had a double and single. Brian Hilderbrand had three singles while Hunter Scott and Connor Miller had two singles each.

East Butler plays at Center Township tonight while West Sunbury travels to Cranberry.
