Richard E. Hutchison
Richard E. Hutchison, 83, of The Grove in New Wilmington, passed away Thursday afternoon at UPMC Jameson.
Born June 10, 1933, in Butler, he was the son of Richard D. and Ethel Henry Hutchison.
He was preceded in death June 18, 2014, by his wife of 57 years, Gloria J. Eisenhuth Hutchison, who he married Jan. 19, 1957.
Mr. Hutchison attended Butler area schools and served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force as an airman first class from 1952 to 1956.
Richard enjoyed cars and often went to car shows. He also liked reading and crafts. He was a member of Maitland Lane Free Methodist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Vickie (John) Bonivich of West Middlesex and Brenda (Tim) Clements of New Castle; one son, Richard (Debbie) Hutchison Jr. of Easley, S.C.; two brothers, Jack Hutchison of Butler and Harry Hutchison of Virginia Beach, Va.; three sisters, Marilyn Notoro of Pittsburgh, Marleen Bennett of Zanesville, Pa., and Shirley Hoover of Butler; eight grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
HUTCHISON — Visitation for Richard E. Hutchison, who died Thursday, April 27, 2017, will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A funeral service will immediately follow visitation Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. John Fraser of the Maitland Lane Free Methodist Church officiating.Full military rites will be performed by the New Castle Area Honor Guard.
