Corrine Elizabeth Geibel Skillman, 86, of East Butler passed away Saturday afternoon at the Good Samaritan Hospice of Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.

Born March 23, 1931, in East Butler, she was a daughter of the late Frank Geibel and Viola Ritzert Geibel.

After high school, she worked briefly at J.C. Penney and then was employed by Magnetics in East Butler, retiring after 38 years.

She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. She was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.

Surviving are her sister, Flo M. Geibel Bollinger; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Sgt. Richard F. “Dick” Skillman, who she married Aug. 8, 1964, and who died Dec. 7, 2008; two sisters, Wilma Saeler and Hazel Geibel; and two brothers, Arthur Geibel and Kenneth Geibel.

SKILLMAN — Friends of Corrine Elizabeth Geibel Skillman, who died Saturday, April 22, 2017, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler. The Rev. Harry Bielewicz, pastor, will officiate. Entombment will follow at the Mausoleum of Calvary Cemetery in Butler.

St. Paul’s Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church to recite the rosary.
