Knoch loses heart-breaker in playoffs

Knoch's baseball season ended Monday afternoon with a 1-0 loss to Hopewell in the WPIAL Class 4A quarterfinals.
The game ended in bottom of the seventh inning when Mike McCarty's apparent game-tying single to right hit base runner Dom Bucko for the final out.
Knoch ends the season with a 15-5 record.
