JACKSON TWP — Indiana’s strategy was clear.

So was Seneca Valley’s response.

In Monday night’s WPIAL Class AAA girls lacrosse first-round playoff, the Indians looked to slow down SV’s high-scoring offense by keeping possession with accurate passes.

Indiana won the opening faceoff and successfully executed its gameplan — for 1 minute and 40 seconds before a turnover put the Raiders in control. Three minutes later, Seneca Valley senior Karina Latsko scored the game’s first goal.

It was the beginning of the Raiders’ 15-2 blitzing of the Indians (8-8) at NexTier Stadium.

Early on, the Raiders turned the ball over a few times themselves, but by the mid-way point of the first half, their offense had completely taken over the game. Six different players scored for Seneca in the first half, which ended with the Raiders leading 12-1.
