Christine Keller

Christine Keller, 95, of Butler passed away Thursday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born April 21, 1921, in Butler County, the daughter of the late Domenick and Marie Zappia Amendolea.

Christine was married to Thomas Keller for 53 years until his death in July of 1999.

She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. She had worked at the City Market and the Spaid Shirt Co. and was also a supervisor at Bobbi Brooks for 21 years.

Christine enjoyed her garden, especially her big tomatoes. She loved flowers, quilting and baking Christmas cookies. She enjoyed maintaining her yard and was proud to still be able to mow it on her riding mower up until her death. She had an extensive collection of hummingbirds. Christine was always there for anyone who needed help.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

She was the last survivor of nine children. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, four sisters and four brothers.

KELLER — Friends of Christine Keller, who died Thursday, April 13, 2017, will be received from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.
