Bradley Burroway

A Bruin man charged with groping a 19-year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl and making a sexually explicit comment to another 14-year-old girl was sentenced to probation in Butler County Court on Thursday.

Bradley S. Burroway, 31, was sentenced by county Judge William Shaffer to 48 months' probation and a $150 fine. He also must attend any counseling as directed by probation and pay court costs after entering guilty pleas to misdemeanor corruption of minors and simple assault on April 5.

Burroway was initially charged with felony corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, two counts each of misdemeanor indecent assault and summary harassment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct, after an incident in Bruin on April 16, 2016. The felony charges were withdrawn at the magisterial district court level and Burroway pleaded to amended charges of corruption of minors and simple assault. State police said the mother of one of the girls called authorities to report that a man, later identified as Burroway, had touched her daughter, as well as the 19-year-old alleged victim.

The young woman recounted that she and the two girls were at the former Bruin school that day when Burroway, who appeared intoxicated, approached them.

She said he told them he had “been watching them all day,” according to court documents.

The woman said he kept trying to coax them to go with him back to his house on School Street.

Burroway allegedly rubbed the 14-year-old's leg up and down. He also is accused of rubbing the 19-year-old's shoulders and touching her chest.

When the two girls and woman left, Burroway directed a lascivious remark toward another 14-year-old.

He was arrested and held in Butler County Prison on $2,500 bail, which was later posted on April 18, 2016.
