William Edwin Tirk Jr.
William Edwin Tirk Jr., 83, of Butler passed away Wednesday evening at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.
Born Jan. 2, 1934, in Butler, he was the son of the late William E. and Bessie Mae Daugherty Tirk Sr.
William retired as a foreman from Castle Rubber in East Butler.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he faithfully served his country from 1956 to 1962.
He belonged to the Masonic Lodge in Butler. He enjoyed mowing grass, the outdoors, animals and visiting family while sitting on his porch swing.
He is survived by his brother, Joseph (Kay) Tirk of Butler; his sister, Jane (Ronald) Waldenmyer of Texas and Butler; and 12 nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Tirk; and his sister, Rita Shuler.
