Meadowcroft Rockshelter, village opens for season
AVELLA, Washington County — Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village, 401 Meadowcroft Road, has opened for the season.
Meadowcroft includes the Rockshelter, a site of early human habitation, plus a 16th century eastern woodland Indian village and a historic village featuring elements of everyday family life in the mid-19th century.
Throughout May, Meadowcroft is open Saturdays, from noon to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.
From Memorial Day through Labor Day, Meadowcroft is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.
Admission is $15 for adults, $14 for senior citizens and $7 for students and children ages 6 to 17.
