Carol Ann “Sis” Geibel
Carol Ann “Sis” Geibel, 67, of Butler was welcomed by the Lord Friday, April 7, 2017, at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, with her family at her side.
She was born Dec. 1, 1949 in Butler to the late Francis Joseph Geibel and the late Elizabeth Sophie Gizienski Geibel.
Carol was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church. She worked at Friedman’s and Penn Telecom.
Carol loved being a grandmother and spending every moment she could with her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to camp, playing cards, quilting and traveling with her daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren.
Carol looked forward to monthly luncheons with her friends of the Knoch Class of 1967. She blessed the world with her kindness, selflessness and unconditional love. Carol will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa D. and Patrick J. McKee of Butler; two grandchildren, Madison E. and Payton J. McKee; one brother, Lawrence F. Geibel, Sr. and his wife Patricia of Slippery Rock; one niece, Cathy J. Geibel; and one nephew, Lawrence F. Geibel, Jr.
GEIBEL — Friends of Carol Ann “Sis” Geibel, who died April 7, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 821 Herman Road, Butler, with the Rev. Mark Pattock, celebrating.
Private burial will take place in the St. Mary Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Carol’s honor to VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Dr., Butler, PA 16001.
Her family will forever be grateful to the VNA In-Home Hospice and the VNA Inpatient Hospice for making her last days comfortable and peaceful, and allowing her family to celebrate her life.
