Kristen Lee Herold, 43, of Wexford, waived arraignment on two felony counts of hindering apprehension and one count each of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child and recklessly endangering another person.

The mother of a homicide suspect, scheduled for formal arraignment on Tuesday, waived that hearing in Butler County Court on Monday and continues to be held on allegations that she hid her son from police while they were searching for him in relation to the death of a 4-year-old boy.

Kristen Lee Herold, 43, of Wexford, waived arraignment on two felony counts of hindering apprehension and one count each of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child and recklessly endangering another person.

The waiver was filed Monday by Herold's attorney Al Lindsay. Herold continues to be held in the Butler County Prison on $200,000 cash bail.

The charges stem from an incident on March 21, involving the death of Bentley Thomas Miller, and leading up to the arrest of her son Keith Jordan Lambing for Miller's death.

Lambing and Herold were both arrested by Butler city police a day after the incident, when they were discovered hiding in a Walker Avenue house. Butler Township police said Herold allegedly provided false information about Lambing's whereabouts during the investigation and allegedly provided transportation to Lambing during the time when he was wanted by police for questioning.

Lambing was charged by police with homicide and various sex offenses related to injuries that investigators say caused Miller's death, and were inflicted while he was baby-sitting the boy at the Super 8 hotel on Route 8 in Butler Township. His charges were bound over to county court in a preliminary hearing on April 27.
