Butler man charged with aggravated assault in shooting incident
A Butler man was charged with aggravated assault after allegedly shooting another Butler man near the neck twice with a pellet gun.
Butler Police report that Malcolm Herald, 25, shot Lukas Safranek, 22, following a verbal altercation over an alleged past incident.
According to police, Safranek was visibly injured, but refused medical treatment.
According to Butler County 911 records, the incident, which was reported in a 6:34 p.m. Friday call, occurred in the 400 block of Hazel Avenue.
Herald also was charged with recklessly endangering another person. He was jailed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $10,000 cash surety bond.
