JACKSON TWP, Mercer County — State police continue to investigate a rear-end collision that killed a 48-year-old Butler County woman and seriously injured an upstate New York man early this morning.

Kelly A. Tincher of Slippery Rock was pronounced dead at Grove City Medical Center, where she was taken following the crash seconds after midnight on Interstate 79, authorities said.

An autopsy was planned today, said Mercer County Coroner John Libonati.

Police said Tincher was traveling south in the left lane when she was struck from behind by a sport utility vehicle driven by Joshua A. Latona, 33, of Dunkirk, N.Y.,
