Hughie “Irish” A. Lewis
Hughie “Irish” A. Lewis, 100, of Renfrew passed away Sunday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born July 31, 1916, in Renfrew, the son of the late Robert Charles Lewis and Anna Bond Lewis.
Irish was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was a life member of VFW Post 249, the Masonic Lodge 272, the New Castle Consistory and Lyndora American Legion Post 778.
Surviving are two sisters, Mary Alice Orsborn of Renfrew and Anna Mae Ritson and her husband, Joseph, of Butler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
