Elizabeth “Irene” I. Weigle

Elizabeth “Irene” I. Weigle, 86, of Marion Township, Harrisville, passed away Monday morning at Trinity Living Center where she had been a resident for the past five years.

Irene was born Feb. 1, 1931, in the village of Millbrook, Mercer County, to Homer Delton and Mary Eliza Evans Cochran. She married Lawrence Edsel Weigle on March 24, 1950; he preceded her in death July 25, 1996.

Irene was a homemaker. She was an active member throughout many years at the First Church of God, where she was a custodian for many years.

Irene is survived by two children, Diane I. Arner of Meridian and Delton L. Weigle and his wife, Linda, of Slippery Rock; three grandchildren, Christopher Arner of Florida, Jessica Bosco and her husband, Richard, of Fenelton and Ryan Weigle and his wife, Robin, of Spruce Creek, Pa.; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Norman Cochran of Stoneboro, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Ruth McFarland; and her brother, Ralph Cochran.

WEIGLE — Visitation hours for Elizabeth “Irene” I. Weigle, who died Monday, April 3, 2017, will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gene Worline officiating.Burial will be at the Greenlawn Burial Estate in Butler.In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Church of God, 1333 W. Main St., Grove City, PA 16127.
