Beulah M. Gilliland
Beulah M. Gilliland, 94, of Butler passed away Saturday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born Sept. 16, 1922, in Fombell, Pa., to the late David Miller and Edna Mae Orr Miller.
Beulah was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school and was a former deaconess.
Beulah enjoyed gardening, playing cards, cooking, doing wordsearch puzzles and going to the family camp.
Beulah is survived by two sons, Richard (Patricia) Gilliland of Butler and David Gilliland of Butler; two daughters, Donna Bucher of Simpsonville, S.C., and Carol Gibson of Knoxville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren, Brian Gilliland, Douglas Gilliland, Michael Gilliland, Matthew Gilliland, Timothy Bucher, Todd Bucher, Kimberly Bucher, Scott Gibson, Sean Gibson and Jason Gilliland; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Gilliland, who she married April 29, 1942, and who died Jan. 29, 2011; two sisters; and one brother.
GILLILAND — Friends of Beulah M. Gilliland, who died Saturday, April 1, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11:30 p.m. Thursday at the White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church, 102 Shannon Road, Renfrew, with the Rev. Lee Dreyer officiating.
