Police: Women lured man
FORWARD TWP — A man believed he was meeting a woman for sex and drugs.
Instead, state police said, she and a hidden accomplice ambushed the unwitting victim in a car in Forward Township early Saturday morning.
State police arrested Morgan N. Pogel, 24, of Pittsburgh and Amanda M. Lollo, 23, of Mars in connection with the incident near the Marburger Farm Dairy.
The victim told police that Lollo sent him a message via Facebook, inviting him to smoke marijuana and have sex, according to court documents.
He said she picked him up about 2:45 a.m. at his home and drove to Mars-Evans City Road. He rode in the front passenger seat.
Little did he know, police said, Pogel was also in the car, hidden in the back seat under clothing.
While traveling about two miles in the vehicle, the victim recounted, Pogel struck from under the clothes.
She “wrapped a leather purse strap around (the man's) neck in attempt to strangle him,” according to a police affidavit.The victim, following a struggle, was able to get the strap off his neck. He subsequently convinced the defendants to let him out of the car.Pogel and Lollo later “admitted that they lured” the man into the car “as part of a plan to cause him bodily harm,” the affidavit said.District Judge Wayne Seibel arraigned Pogel on charges of aggravated assault, false imprisonment, simple assault and harassment.He also arraigned Lollo on charges of conspiracy to commit the crimes of aggravated assault, false imprisonment, simple assault and harassment.Both defendants are free on $10,000 bail each. They each face a preliminary hearing May 9 at Seibel's office in Evans City.
