WHEELING, W.Va. — Butler graduate Jamison Smith, a sophomore attacker on the Wheeling Jesuit men's lacrosse team, scored a career-high four goals in the Cardinals' 14-10 loss to No. 10 Seton Hill recently.

Smith has 11 goals and two assists in 13 games this season. Wheeling Jesuit is 6-8 on the year.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Declaring “I still have more in my tank,” Jamaal Charles, the Kansas City Chiefs' all-time rushing leader, signed with the AFC West rival Denver Broncos for a chance to prove it.

PITTSBURGH — Retired North Catholic girls basketball coaching legend Don Barth died Monday at 84.

Barth was 600-83 in 23 years at North Catholic, winning 22 section titles. He guided the Trojanettes to 11 WPIAL and seven PIAA championships.

This past season, the basketball floor at Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic was named the Barth-Graham Court in honor of Barth and retired North Catholic boys coach Don Graham.
