Mildred Elizabeth Kiser Griffiths

Mildred Elizabeth Kiser Griffiths, 88, of Kaylor died Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

She was born Jan. 17, 1929, in Bradys Bend Township, to the late Harry and Stella Benninger Kiser. She was a lifelong resident of the area.

Mildred was a homemaker and also worked at Hutchinson's Dry Cleaners before she had children.

She was a member of St. Paul's Community Church. Mildred liked baking, gardening flowers and vegetables and taking care of her house.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Griffiths of East Brady; her son, James (Marty) Griffiths of East Brady; her daughter, Patty Alcibiade, and her husband, Frank, of Ford City; her sisters, Alice Grove of Pittsburgh and Doris Bearfield of East Brady; her grandchildren, Veronica, Chrichele, Derek, Erica and Keith; and her great-grandson, David.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Griffiths; and her brother, Harry “Buster” Kiser.

GRIFFITHS — Friends of Mildred Elizabeth Kiser Griffiths, who died Tuesday, March 28, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Road, Cowansville.An additional hour of visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Community Church, 2167 State Route 268, Chicora, with the Rev. Ryan Lucas officiating. Interment will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mildred's memory to the Sugar Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department.Arrangements are entrusted to the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Cowansville.
