W. Glenn Montgomery

W. Glenn Montgomery, 93, formerly of Sarver, passed away Thursday at the Shelbourne Personal Care Home.

Born Oct. 6, 1923, in Sarver, he was the son of Harry Montgomery and Anne Stepp Montgomery.

Glenn served in the U.S. Army during World War II as an MP.

Glenn had worked as a truck driver for Agway Energy. He was a member of Emory Chapel Methodist Church, the Armstrong Lodge 239 F&AM, the Sarver Vets, the Butler County Fair Board and was a lifetime member of the Belgian Draft Horse Association.

Surviving are two sons, Rodger (Debbie) Montgomery of Penrose, Colo., and Craig (Evon) Montgomery of Saxonburg; and two half- sisters, Mary McElhinny of Evans City and Elsie Hinderliter of Sarver.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vivian Jane Stark Montgomery on Feb. 18, 1998; two infant sons; one sister; and two brothers.

MONTGOMERY — Friends of W. Glenn Montgomery, who died Thursday, March 23, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.
