John “JR” Donald Richards, 79, of Grove City passed away Wednesday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

John was born Sept. 2, 1937, in West Point, Ky. He was the son of the late Ernest Richards and the late Rachel Moyer Richards. He retired as a district manager of the 7-Eleven convenience stores.

John is survived by two daughters, Sandra Apsey of West Sunbury and Ann Marie (Rod) McCandless of Boyers; one son, Jeffrey Richards of Butler; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Lois, who died Sept. 25, 1992; his son, Johnny; one brother; and his twin sister.
