Dorothy “DoDo” L. Stevenson Gladd

Dorothy “DoDo” L. Stevenson Gladd, 75, of Butler passed away Tuesday.

Born Sept. 25, 1941, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late John L. Stevenson Sr. and Dorothy E. Cochran Stevenson.

She was the loving wife of Carl D. Gladd Sr., who died in 1998. Not a day went by that she did not miss him.

She was a homemaker who lived life the way she wanted to. She enjoyed getting into mischief with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, who will miss their “Grandma DoDo” and “Aunt DoDo” every day.

She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Gladd Shearer, and her husband, Bob, of Butler; her four sons, Michael J. Gladd of Butler, Chester E. Gladd and his wife, Susan, of Plum Borough, Rick L. Gladd and his wife, Michelle, of Butler, and Carl D. Gladd Jr. and his wife, Sara, of Butler.

She had 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who love her and will miss her.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, John L. Stevenson Jr.

GLADD — There will be a memorial service for Dorothy “DoDo” L. Stevenson Gladd, who died Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at 2 p.m. Saturday at the West Sunbury United Presbyterian Church, 215 E. Church St., West Sunbury. Dinner will follow the service in the church basement.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in her honor to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
