Virginia Z. “Ginny” Novak
Virginia Z. “Ginny” Novak, 89, of Butler, formerly of Middlesex Township, passed away Thursday at Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born in Millvale July 29, 1927, she is the daughter of the late Leo H. and Helene Steigerwald Zwigart.
Ginny had worked as a sales clerk for Kaufmann's in North Hills for 19 years and had been a receptionist for WIC and the Housing Authority with the Butler Senior Aid program.
She was a member of Holy Sepulcher Church and was an avid reader.
Surviving are three daughters, Daryl Lynn Mikolay of Summit Township, Michele Laskey (Lenny) of Prospect and Jennifer Lee Jones (Robert) in North Carolina, a son, Ronald Eugene Novak (Ruth Ann Wilkins) of Middlesex Township; 10 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene N. Novak, who she married Sept. 6, 1947 and who died July 19, 1979; and two sisters, Mary Rita Tobalski and Altheda Smith.
NOVAK — Friends of Virginia Z. “Ginny” Novak, who died Thursday, March 16, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Holy Sepulcher Church, 1304 E. Cruikshank Road, Butler, with The Rev.
